about
Pedro's sounds come to me as a mirror, reflecting back what Pedro experiences as my work-Pedro interprets my work and gives a representation of it through his sound; his sound is a gift to me. In response, I take this onto me, as a sensitive relation and form of portraiture: Pedro paints my portrait, lending to the depiction an air of resemblance as experienced through sounds I have made. To produce a work in response to Pedro's sounds, to return the gift by using it, I follow the lines, adding sounds that retrace Pedro's own, while trying to outlive or escape my own portrait (to be more than what it presents while accepting what it represents). I frame the portrait Pedro has made, acting as a supplement.
